PokerStars Moneymaker Millionaire
The World's Largest Free Poker Tournament
In 2003, a relatively unknown player went from playing online at PokerStars to being the face of poker, and winning $2.5 million. His name is Chris Moneymaker. Now, PokerStars is giving you the chance to become the next Moneymaker Millionaire.
The Moneymaker Millionaire is a free poker tournament that will be played online at PokerStars from July 24 - December 3, 2006. 27 players from our three rounds of online qualifying will advance to our final round, and play live at the Atlantis Resort and Casino in the Bahamas for cash and prizes.
Here's how you can become the Moneymaker Millionaire:
Daily Round 1 Tournaments
Every PokerStars player will receive one free entry ticket to play in one of the Moneymaker Millionaire daily Round 1 events.
Once you've used your free entry ticket, you can enter additional Round 1 satellites for ten Frequent Player Points per event. There is no limit to the number of times you can play in our daily Round 1 events using FPPs. FPP's are Frequent Player Points earned by playing in real money games. The top 50 players in each of our daily Round 1 events will advance to our weekly Round 2.
Weekly Round 2 Tournaments
The only way to play in a weekly Round 2 is to win your entry through one of the daily Round 1 events. Remember you can enter as many Round 1 tournaments as you like for ten FPPs per event.
The top 240 players will advance to our monthly Round 3.
Monthly Round 3
The monthly Round 3 is where the action really heats up. You will play other PokerStars players for the chance to move on to our live 3-table final at the Atlantis Resort to play for a $1,000,000 Moneymaker Millionaire Grand Prize package including an Aston Martin DB9 Volante*! We will hold one Round 3 tournament per month for the entire five-month promotion. Depending on the event date, either the top five or top six finishers will move on to the live finals at the Atlantis Resort. Other players will win prizes, including entries into the 2007 PokerStars Caribbean Adventure and cash. Check out the Round 3 payout chart for complete details.
*The car can be taken as a cash equivalent (value $180,000)
